From suggestion by RobertAbitbol?Create at http://www.usemod.com/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?RobertAbitbol
- Wants system to easily create subwikis, similar to 2 directories at Usemod.com's entry page: one directory for Usemod and another one for Meatball.
- Now here is my question: is it possible to create a small program (in C, in Perl or whatever) that will enable any user to create a directory on a site and once this is done, a copy of Usemod would get copied unto the new directory.
- For instance I'd type Usemod.com. I'd click on Create another wiki. I'd enter a name for the new directory and a name for a new wiki and right away an empty Usemod wiki would install itself in the new directory.
- I think this is a great idea for it would add another level to the existing Usemod hierarchy. You'd have a list of wikis and for each wiki: subpages or regular pages.
- The user could have a choice of two Recent Changes: for all the pages of all the wikis or for the local wiki (the one he/she is on).
- I am convinced this way of dividing the site into smaller wiki segments makes it easier for everyone to learn how to wiki.
