Washington state man has died during intercourse with a horse.
Washington is one of 17 states that permits bestiality. James Tate, 54, lived at a farm and was having relations with a horse, and allowing other people to do so. Tate was owner of the farm. He was videotaping a friend in an act with the horse, when the friend received injuries resulting in death.
James Michael Tate told police that several people had snuck onto neighbors farm to engage in animal sex.
They can't prove any kind of animal cruelty because they can't prove cruelty to the animal. So a man has been charged with trespassing.
According to King County coroner, the man died of acute peritonitis after perforation of the colon.
Neighbors said they were shocked when police showed up at their home.
According to King County Sheriff's office, the farm was known in chat rooms as a destination for people who wanted to have relations with livestock. Authorities didn't learn about the farm until July 2nd.
State Sen. Pam Roach, R-Auburn, has said she plans to draft legislation making bestiality illegal in Washington.

An Enumclaw-area man who authorities say helped run a farm where people had sex with animals — and where a Seattle man died doing so with a horse — was charged with a misdemeanor yesterday.
Police began investigating James Tait, 54, and another man who lived at the rural Southeast King County farm after the Seattle man died of injuries suffered during intercourse with a horse in the summer, Enumclaw police said.
King County prosecutors have charged a man with trespassing in connection with an incident in which a friend was fatally injured having sex with a horse in Enumclaw.
James Michael Tait, 54, of Enumclaw is accused of entering a barn without the owner's permission. If convicted he faces up to a year in jail and a $5,000 fine.
Prosecutors filed the charge Tuesday in county district court. Arraignment is scheduled for the week of Oct. 31. Tait does not have a listed phone number and it was not clear if he had obtained a lawyer.
Tait admitted to officers that he entered a neighbor's barn last July in Enumclaw with Kenneth Pinyan to have sex with a horse, charging papers said. Tait was videotaping the episode when Pinyan received internal injuries that led to his death.
