We have scheduled classes on "Vedic Astrology and the Pancanga" on March 18-19, followed by a Vastu certified consultants' training programme starting at the end of this month.
The "Vedic Astrology and the Pancanga" class will be conducted by Goloka Candra dasa who has more than 10 years of experience in calculating and publishing the annual Pancanga for Malaysia. Participants will learn how to read, understand and utilise the wealth of astrological information recorded in the Pancanga.
The class will run from 9am - 5pm on Saturday March 18 and from 9am - 2pm on Sunday March 19 at our Bhakti Yoga studio at 69-2 Jalan Jugra, 3 1/2 mile Jalan Kelang Lama, Kuala Lumpur. Sumptuous vegetarian lunch will be provided. The fee is RM251.
The class will start with a primer on the primary components of the Pancanga, i.e. tithi (lunar phase), karana (half lunar phase), nakshatra (special constellation), vara (week day, according to the Vedic convention of counting the day from sunrise to sunrise) and yoga (combined lunisolar phase), and take the participants to the level of being able to cast the basic horoscope (rasi and navamsa charts and planets therein) using just the Pancanga and the printed templates provided.
The Vastu consultants' course will be conducted by Vastu Veda Academy (UK) director Arthur Smith who also co-authored the book "Vastu -- the origin of feng shui". Participants will be trained to analyse a property in detail, sketch layout plans and provide comprehensive Vastu consultation reports. The training programme is mainly aimed at architects, planners, designers, those in real estate and property development business or anybody interested in pursuing a career in this line.
The training programme will be held in Kuala Lumpur and/or Penang. The duration will be nine full days, mainly weekends and public holiday/s, starting from Saturday March 31. Part of the training will be computer-based using our own Vastu software tools. Seats will be limited to 20. Candidates who successfully complete the training programme will be awarded Vastu consultant's certificate from the Vastu Veda Academy, UK. The training schedule, syllabus and other details will be announced shortlly.
