The scientific method is used in the study of biology (Search for biology).
The scientific method involves observing phenomena and formulating testable and falsifiable hypotheses. The scientific method involves testing these hypothesis by collecting data which is analyzed statistically, to make sure that the observed data conforms to the hypothesis. If the observed data does not conform, then the hypothesis is either revised, or discarded in favor of a new hypothesis that does a better job of describing the observed data.
