Guest host: Roger Hedgecock
- Caller calls in about his Vietnam
- Have you read the testimony from 1971 when Kerry came back from Vietnam. He called people who served in Vietnam babykillers? There is no question that he did his service, but he denounced it in a way that everyone in the Hanoi Hilton was treated to.
- The caller has not seen the things that Kerry refered to.
- Caller: Two people can look at the same thing and can come to exactly different opinions over anything.
- Caller Debra
- Caller thanks the previous caller for their service in Vietnam
- Caller says her uncle suffered from horendous scenes that he saw.
- Host asks pointedly, do you believe that John Kerry was right?
- The caller refuses to answer the question, and throws the question off on Bush.
- Despite asking repeatedly, he couldn't get the caller to answer the question, and called her a typical library.
LA Times on Antiwar Rallies
Antiwar demonstrators in New York "thronged Madison ave". www.Brain-Terminal.com has a video of the demonstration. "Some people wanted us to think that President Bush lied. The funny thing is this is a claim made by other politicians who made similar statements recently." He videotapes going into the crowd and asking his multiple choice question giving a statement about WMD, and then asking who said it: George Bush, Al Gore, and Colin Powell as choice. Everyone would blame George Bush and Colin Powell, for statements about finding WMD. It was actually Al Gore that was talking about the WMD.
- Caller who claims to be a moderate independent
- Roger asks what the caller is moderate about?
- About our policies. Should we have let the UN shoulder a lot of the responsibility, and blood, and money.
- Roger asks if they say no, then what do we want to do?
- Caller claims we should do the same thing as what Bush Sr. did.
- Roger points out how France, Germany, and Russia are making too much money now from kickbacks on oil, and didn't want to cooperate this time.
- Caller things there was a different way to go about it: Waiting for the inspections, and not decide unilaterally. We're paying the price and getting nothing back out of it.
- Roger wants to know what we should do now in Iraq?
- Caller things the United Nations needs to be involved.
