Sometimes a page gets to be too big, and you need to move some of the text to new pages. This process is called "refactoring". Typically a wiki author will use the clipboard to cut some text out of the current page, then put in a link to a new page, save the page. Click on the link, then paste in the cut text. Often the author might want to make a link back to the original page.
This wiki has an advanced postediting command to make refactoring even easier.
FACTOR Name of New Page To Create Here: some text to move to the other page ENDFACTOR
When this page is saved, the given text will be replaced with a link to the new page, and text will be transfered to the new page name. If the new page already exists, then the text will be appended to the previous text. Additionally, a small right aligned italic link we be added back to the original page.
Multiple FACTOR/ENDFACTOR blocks can be created on a page. They will be processed sequentially.
