PolioPlus is Rotary International 's program for eliminating polio worldwide. The launched this program in 1985 to encourage immunizations of childrenn to protect them from the horrible and fatal consequences of the polio virus. Rotary International created PolioPlus to immunize all the world’s children against polio by 2005.

John Elloway MD MPH worked with the Rotary Interational of the Ukraine to initiate the first immunization days in the Ukraine in 1996. He was an honary member of the PolioPlus committee.
