In this [thread] another user mentions thinking that "Now with full VGA / Landscape support on Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition!" means that everything needed to run in VGA mode would be included. I thought I'd read something like that too somewhere, leading me to upgrade and be disappointed about the lack of support for SE_VGA, so I wrote the following:
What page is that quote about "full VGA" on? Is that on the Web IS? That might have been what I read that led me to upgrade to the latest Pocket Informant 5.5. With an hx4705, the only way I know to get the palmtop into what looks like a real VGA mode, (instead of the default emulation of an older low res palmtop) is with the SE_VGA program, which ALAC is convinced is an unsupportable hack.
SE_VGA is the only way I know of to see this PDA use all it's pixels. If there is another kind of "full VGA" mode, (other than the "HighDPI?Create" mode which if that's the default is something I don't care about), that really uses all the pixels of this PDA, I'd like to know about it.
