- I just stopped by Chat11 and noticed this course on photography being offered, so I signed up to get to know more about some of the newer cameras I've bought recently.
- I have been using digital cameras ever since the $1000 Apple Quick Take. I still use one of my original QuickTake (Search) self photos as my logo on my personal website.
- In 2001, I had a chance to travel a lot, and I took about 20,000 digital photos that year on a variety of digital cameras. I have several complete sets of CD's of those pictures, each set stored in a different place. I still have to figure out what to eventually do with all those photos. Some days when travelling, I was taking as many as 1000 pictures a day. Then two or three days trying to get them all written to CDs.
- I spent the day yesterday trying to do some practical comparisions of 4 different cameras in ordinary settings. Along with me was my 4 year old, who managed to take more pictures with the Sony U20 that I loaned him, than I managed to take with all my cameras combined. "Dad, look a bottle cap... Can I take a picture of that boat?... Dad look, a flower... Look, a picture of an electric plug mounted on the side of a tree.... Dad look, a one inch close up of the scratch on the side of this car...."
