February 11, 2004 - How do you deal with your children after divorce? On the show was
Dr. Jim Sandler with two daughters, who is a non-custodial father of Kelly and Katherine.
Four months ago he met Tracy who is a lovely person, and 30 years younger. When he went to discipline his kids for breaking curfew, but Tracy said that he shouldn't punish the children, he should think about who their mother is.
Sounded like he was calling from a Bowling Alley.
Bad News Punishment was invented by Bill Kaufner. Rather than punish the child, every time the child does something wrong, they should just be given bad news. Tracy, instead of grounding the child, told the child that the mother was an alcohol. Instead of punishment, this is simply bad news.
He got upset repeatedly at Phil calling Tracy "that woman", or "his girlfriend".
Phil asked what Tracy does. She sets appointments in a hair salon.
First caller was Gina, a recovering alcoholic, and thought it was really sad that the mother is an alcoholic. She felt only the father should have given that news, and that it shouldn't come from an outsider like Tracy, and that Tracy shouldn't be disciplining his kids.
Dr. Jim said that Tracy said she has the best interests of the children at heart, and he doesn't want to alienate Tracy.
"I wish I was talking with a man, I could be more clear....." said Dr. Jim. Tracy is only 23 years old.
Dr. Jim asked the caller, "Are you thinking clearly? Maybe you are too tied up in your recovery."
Dr. Jim asked most people if they were alcoholics, often refered to "Tracy says", and repeatedly said that he loves his kids. Jim claimed to be a psychologist, but didn't have time for being the full time custodian of his kids.
Lots of other recovering alcoholics, and children of alcoholics called... Jim even offered to get Tracy on the phone with some of the callers, but Tracy was busy bowling.
One person called and threatened to call Childrens Protective Services. Dr. Sandler then asked the caller what she did to cause her parents to break up.
Dr. Jim Sadler got mad about being put on hold!
Indians
They are the only group that people can talk against, all the other groups said you can't talk against us. The Native American culture is dead, there's no one to complain.

Interview With General Wesley Clark
He ran for president mainly because he lost his job at NATO. He was at home, making lunch and some soup, while talking with Phil Henry.
He doesn't know what "The New Patriotism" is about. It's some kind of patriotism that won't get people to want to vote for Bush. No one would explain it to Wesley what it meant.
Phil asked about why the campaign is without focus. Wesley admitted that he was the least focused. He had to keep yelling at his grandchildren to turn the TV down in the background.
Phil wanted to know why there was no support. He kept saying "I'm having some soup, Phil." Wesley admitted he wasn't a believable candidate, he was only doing it because some people talked him into it, "You're a General!". He kept asking Phil about if he liked "Lipton Soup".
Then he was busy making a banana smoothie with strawberries using a noisy blender in the middle of the interview. When Phil would say he couldn't hear, Wesley would explain again about how his grandkids were visiting, and kept asking if Phil likes bananas in a blender.
Bomb Blast In Iraq
Feels bad when they are manipulated by Michael Moore. He wants Moore to melt himself down for the lard and fat, no one needs the hot air.
Phil Henry is a democrat, but he's ashamed of Kerry. Told the story of how Kerry claims to have thrown someone else's medals over the fence. Says he is ashamed of wearing the uniform, calling other soldiers rapists, etc. Says "That man's a dog".
John Kerry says he would support the gay marriage, and just a limited ban. Two years ago he signed a petition to State of Massachusettes to remove a ban on homosexual nuptials.
FCC Thing On the F word from the FCC. FCC has been all over the news today, smeared everywhere today.
