How Microsoft Responds To Some Frontpage Crashes

Automated reporting system helps Microsoft gather information about crashes in their applications

FrontPage crashed while I was working out a solution for Dynamic Web Template on FrontPage not updating all pages .

I was begged to submit a bug report, and then asked by Microsoft to fill out a questionaire ( http://watson.microsoft.com/survey/1033/report.asp?surveytype=office11&iBucketTable=1&iBucket=57473602&LCID=1033&Brand=Office11Crash&OS=5.1.2600.2.00010300.1.0&DWVer=11.0.5515.0&skulcid=1033 ) about what I was doing:

• Microsoft apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the error you just experienced. Please fill out and submit the following survey. The information you provide will help us find and fix this problem.
• What task were you doing just before the error occurred? Please provide a description. If you have steps that can be used to reproduce the problem, please provide these steps:
• Example: "Error occured when I tried to paste an AutoShape?Create from Excel into Outlook Calendar. 1: Start Excel, 2: Insert Autoshape, 3: Edit Copy, 4: Start Outlook Calendar, 5: Edit Paste."

I sent Microsoft the following message:

• I was attempting to get around a problem of FrontPage not updating DWT pages on a web host that I have an account on. Site has 60+ pages attached to a single DWT. (Apparently the webhost is using Frontpage extensions on windows server (www.neureal.com)).... I found reference to such a setup not being able to update shared pages. But I did see it work, so I was trying the following:
• Opened up frontpage, loaded the .DWT for my site, then loaded a web page, changed the DWT, then hit save all. Just after accepting "yes" to change the 1 attached page, Frontpage crashed.
