Hertel Co. that year and in 1968 moved the company to Wichita. The company, which employs 23, publishes and markets Bibles under the names of Hertel, Heirloom and Fireside.
- Its customers are primarily institutional, such as Catholic churches and schools, fraternal lodges and labor unions.
- Catholic churches and schools account for a large part of the company's business, DeVore?Create says.
- DeVore?Create & Sons sells more than 250,000 Bibles a year. DeVore?Create believes he can up that number and increase sales by $8.5 million in the next four years.
