Phil Henry Show Notes For February 13 2004

Jay Santos, a volunteer citizens auxillary policeman, confiscating Valentines Day treats from children

Volunteer neighborhood police officer, Jay Santos, of the Citizens auxillary police, confiscated Valentines Day items from childrens backpacks at a public school because Valentines Day celebrations among children promote the sexualization of Children. He supports this because he considers children's giving of Valentines to be a gateway to giving aids.

  • "I'm so perplexed, you're the epitome of what is wrong with society today. These are just tokens of affection."

Phil Henry asks about picking up the children, putting them in a van

Jay Santos: "Sexualizing of children is what we are talking about... We are saving the lives of these children, and the parents are jealous of us."

Marianne Saunders, of Collier Elementary School, said that Jay and three others were there (Jay says they were subcommanders), and made comments about Ms. Saunders body in front of the children. He says there were no children around, but he did comment about her attractive wool skirt. "The point we are trying to make is about the sexualization of children and the passing aids."

Phil says "You're making a big jump from Valentines to Aids. And what about having fortified wine, Night Train?"

  • "I don't know what is wrong with the police, why is this man on duty drinking beer and wine on duty, and confiscating children's valentines cards..."
  • Jay Santos asks "What did I do to harm these children?"
  • "You scared the hell out of them idiot! Who the hell are you to do that, you sicko! Someone should have you arrested right now, and you should taken to the jail."
  • Jay Santos asks "How many sleeping pills do you take at night?"
  • Caller goes on and on, and Phil asks her to be quiet
  • Jay says he is just trying to explain to the child on account of AIDS.

Jay says, "I don't do talk shows, because most of the callers are like that lady, stupid, ignorant, and stupid. They don't understand."

Phil asks about making a pitcher of wine coolers? Why does he have this while on duty?

Jay says it was a hot day in February.

• Caller
  • "I'm confused, I've got a 5 year old, I don't see why it is this mans duty to tell my child about sexual activity."
  • Jay says she hasn't taken care of it.
  • "I don't need someone telling my kids things they dont need to have knowledge of at 5 years old. Valentines dont promote promiscuity or sexuality."
  • Jay, "What about Janet Jackson showing her 'gina on television?"
  • Phil, "She didn't show that, she Police say they found two bottles of cherry nyquil in his van."
  • Jay, "We have a subcommander who went into treatment program, and he had a relapse today."
  • Phil, "So you are drinking wine, and the other is drinking cough syrup, and you are taking children into a van?"

Jay says his van is a 70's van with shag carpet and a mirror.

Phil asks about the subcommanders drinking wine and cough syrup. Jay says that Nyquil was a concession to help the sub commander get through the day.

• Caller, Joe
  • "You're supposed to be enforcing the law, but you broke more laws than you enforced: On school ground with alcohol, drinking in public, talking to the children without the parents present? The kids weren't breaking any laws."
  • Jay, "Difference of auxillary police and regular police is that the auxillary police are allowed to have alcohol in limited amounts. I was tipsy, but not drunk. I'm helping my neighborhood."
  • Jay says "Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan."

Jay now plays the citizen auxillary theme music. "These are the training of the men whose skill, training, and courage has helped enforce state laws." Then Jay asks for some more cough syrup because he hurt his voice from making the radio squelch noise.

Phil asks, "So you're making radio noises too?"

Jay finally hangs up. Then comes back on, he didn't really hang up, and neither did the caller. The caller called Jay by the name of "Bud", and Jay says, "My name is Jay, not what you drink."

Then Jay starts refusing to hang up the phone until the caller hangs up.
