How To Self Publishing
Make Money At Home With A Flexible Schedule
Subjects > Professional And Technical > Freelance Writing
One of the best books on how to self publish is How To Self-Publish Your Book with Little Or No Money! This book is a complete guide to self-publishing at a profit. It has all that a writer needs to know about the process of self-publishing.
Many authors have found this to be the best book on the market with easily understand and up-to-date information.
The book starts with a quiz to help the would be author decide if they are ready to self publish.
The chapters have reminder quizes to make sure you understand the material. In fact, the book recommends that if you miss questions on the quiz you should restudy the chapter. Soem chapters cover information about copyrights, library of congress catalog card numbers, ISBNs, CIP, and PCIP, suggestions about raising money to self-publish, how to advertise and promote a book with a sample media kit.
The book also has layouts to illustrate the points in the book. The book also talks about how to avoid common mistakes such as spelling problems, English usage, poetry, and grammar.
The book is a little weak on digital resources, but it would be relatively easy to figure out how to use email to contact publishers, etc. It does have information about how to use the Internet to sell books.
Dan Poynter, author of The Self-Publishing Manual, and [[How Ordinary People Make Money Online Writing From Home:Darn! Why Did I Write That, How To Make $100,000 writing nonfiction]], says about this book, "This delightful book provides the day-to-day, personal hands-on advice only an author with sixteen years of experience could provide."
