How Does Java Find Classes To Import
Subjects > ... > Java Programming
Java uses the classpath variable to locate .class files to correspond with import commands.
See http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/java/package/managingfiles.html
Some classes are supplied by programs other than Java. For example:
- where can i find servlet.jar?
- Latest servlet.jar? You download it with your servlet container/J2EE server.
- So it comes with J2EE, or Tomcat, or WebLogic?Create, or Whatever server you want to download.
- It is part and parcel of the server. You don't download it seperately.
- You can get latest version of Tomcat here: http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/index.html
