Glenn Beck Show January 20 2006 - Moron Trivia

Today the Glenn Beck show is having it's segment called "Moron Trivia". They ask about current news events, or even other simple questions. They total the right answers, and try to figure out from the scores which team in an upcoming sports game will win.

Question: "Some guy yesterday made us an audio tape offering us a truce. Who was he?"

• Some callers knew the answer to this question....

Question: "what movie is destined to be the number one gay cowboy movie this weekend?"

• Caller:

  ---

  "No idea... Rhinestone cowboy?" BZZZZZZZ

Glenn even has a laugh track to laugh with him after he gives the caller the wrong answer...

"If you were driving 60 miles an hour, how far would you travel in 30 minutes?"

• Caller: 3 miles? BZZZZZ
• Another caller: 6 miles? BZZZZZZZZZ
• Glens answer: No, since it's half an hour you have to double it, you would go 120 miles.
• Caller: Oh, ok...

Glenn, after he hangs up on the caller: "America is doomed!"

"Name one person who is close to being named a Supreme court justice"

• Caller: "Oh gosh... Atkinson? "
• Glenn: "Are you thinking about the south beach diet?"
• Caller: No?
• Glenn: "We were looking for Judge Judy." BZZZZZ

What quarter are we in? 3rd quarter? What's the score? Denver and Pittsburgh....

"Is Iran an ally of the United States?"

• Caller: Um... I don't understand..
• The question had to be asked at least three times....
• Caller: Um... No
• Glen: Are you sure?
• Caller: No.

"What happened between us and Iran around 1980?"

• Caller: The American Iranian war?
• Glenn: DING! You're right. And the crazy thing is that it was over fish sticks.

Glen: Hello Ginger...

• Caller: Yeah?
• Glen: Ginger how are you?
• Caller: Fine
• Glen: Are you foxy?
• Caller: Am I boxy?
• Glen: No, foxy. Are you foxy? that's what all the kids are saying...
• Caller: (pause) No

"What do you suppose an appropriate sentence for someone who rapes a 6 year old, like that scumbag in Massachusetts? A. 60 days. B. Death by fire ants? C. Death by incinerator D. Death By blood draining"

• Caller: D.
• Glen: Good answer, but BZZZZZZ sorry, the answer in Massachusetts is 60 days.

"Is the economy good, worse than the depression, or C. really really bad"

• Caller: C.
• Glen: I can't give it to you, BZZZZZ the answer really was D. George Bush sucks.

"Explain tenure for teachers"

• Caller: Long silence... "I don't understand that one"
• Glen: Not the answer we were looking for, but we'll give you the point anyway. DING!

We have several flags down on the field.. I don't even have a score yet between Denver and Pittsburgh... We'll take a break, then come back and deal with the flags, and give you the final score.

Glen Comments on the game in progress today...

Studies are out about how bad even college students are these days. College kids can't figure out their own blood pressure if shown a chart. They can't do simple math on simple prices at a store. It's frightening what the colleges are churning out.
