check this out... it's a blog by 5 Msoft employees in Redmond.. they're trying to set up a forum for developers.... it's some kind of quasi-company site..
Thanks for the info! This is a very interesting site. I was very surprised to see that Ward Cuningham is now at Microsoft. I consider Ward Cuningham to be one of the pioneers of the web, having first started the idea of Wiki. He started the first such site in 1994 or 1995, which was about 5 years before I came across the concept... As I've mentioned many times I'm sure, http://www.chat11.com is my wiki where anyone can edit any page of the site. I started with a copy of someone else's wiki code back in 2001, and have made a lot of mods to it. Mine runs on Linux or Windows, although I am currently hosting it on Linux. It's also the basis for my http://www.trulyopendirectory.com with is a wiki site with 500,000 pages that I put up in February, possibly the largest wiki in existence. It's my version of the DMOZ Open Directory Project directory.
They also have a wiki as part of the Channel 9 site. I just created a home page there, http://www.flexwiki.com/default.aspx/FlexWiki.GarnetRChaney
Their wiki is pretty cool, and is running on .NET. I've been thinking for the last week to maybe create my own Wiki under .NET, but this might save me some time, or at least teach me some interesting new tricks.
I'm going to get the source code and set it up on my new Windows 2003 machine. Maybe I can contribute some of the enhancements I've made to the code of my Wiki, and figure out how to get them to work on their wiki. Could be a fun open source project to contribute to.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the videos to work from the original Channel 9 site. I wanted to see the videos from Ward, but the first one I clicked about learning programming didn't work.
