Here's my activity log for learning wiki

Monday 29th November, 2004 Garnet shows me how to use wiki for the first time. I create a new page entitled "Chris", complete with user ID, name and password.
Garnet shows me why it is wise for a newbie to keep both the New users page open, as well as my own page. He shows me how to resize the page.

Garnet re-writes instructions on New users page, following my reaction to his original instructions.

Tasks accomplished:

• Created new user account
• Created first web page on wiki, a home page HomePages/Chris
• Created a link to a bookmarks page, along with the first bookmark on the page.

Tuesday 30th November, 2004

Garnet shows me how to make a wiki using existing text from e-mails. I use an e-mail on the problems in southern Thailand as an example. I also use a joke on Harbinder Singh and the Pope as an example.

• Use == to make heading
• Use = to make sub heading
• Use ''' to bold
• Use '' to italicize
• Use * to make bullet points
• Use [[]] to make a link
• Use [[| to make a reference to a link

Tasks accomplished:

• Creating a link to a new page that doesn't exist yet Thailand's Southern Border Problems
• Clicked on create to make the new page
• Adding title and subtitle to the top of the page, and correcting other formatting errors on the page
• Found other places on this wiki that should link back to the new page.
• Adding links from the Malaysia and Thailand pages to the new page
• Made a second new pages Religious Jokes
• Link to Webmaster Training 2005

Wednesday 1st December, 2004 Tasks accomplished:

• Made new page [Letter from Her Majesty to US Citizens]?Create
• Installed Jasc Paint shop Pro v.8.0
• Installed Quicktime v. 6.5.2 so that I can view "Learning Jasc Paint Shop Power Suite by Lynda.com"

Thursday 2nd December, 2004 Tasks accomplished:

• Learned about Domain name registration at Dyndyns.com and also about subdomains
• Learned about Google and Webalizer

• Bought 128K memory stick for camera
• Installed camera software
