Fresno has the highest concentration of extremely poor people.
Is that because of illegal immigrants? I am wondering if it is an illegal immigrant farmworker sort of thing? Why Fresno of all things?
Not a word is mentioned on this issue.

Caller: Jack you hit on it, there is a lot of ag in the outlying areas. But they live away from the ag, and concentrate in the downtown. There are these pockets of them. My folks live in Fresno, you can go two blocks away, there are barrios, the prices of the houses are so much different.
We're going to have shanty towns in california, two separate societies, different languages, at each other throats, that's what illegal immigration is going to bring us.
Caller Phil: I am not sure what the allure of Fresno is. It's flat. The water has been diverted for agriculture. My friends are college graduates. They are raising families there. I don't understand why they don't leave.
