Lets see - the math question... I guess the clever student would demonstrate an aptitude for bureaucracy by charging the other two a distribution fee of one apple, thereby keeping three for himself.

It always frightens me a bit when people start talking about distributing "the world's resources in a fair way" ... color me paranoid, but that sounds like an abstract and philisophical way to say "Give my your wallet!"... One of the reasons we have armies and swords and stuff, is to keep people from deciding that they really should, in the interest of fairness, have our stuff.

The First Gulf War, after all, was because Saddam wanted to redistribute Kuwait's oil in a more "fair" way...

Anyone that wants my wallet should raise their hand, and one of my soldiers will be around to register the complaint, as soon as we have time.
