A wiki for a class at NYU from October 2002.

"The goal," as Clay says, "is to tell the class how the different pieces of software affect the way the groups form and communicate."

They were looking to evaluate a group of sites on the following qualities:

1. All the things that Marcos suggested are good. ie:

• a-interface (look and feel) of application. Is it pink and nice or black and sexual?
• c-content (does the content differ with different places or is it the same, if so or not, why?)
• d-Sexuality, is the place mainly gay, lesbian, traditional?
• e-Tone, what's the tone of the communication between the users? Agressive, sweet, cute , etc...

2. How does each site handle identity? log in? usernames? photos? profiles? updating?

3. Email forwarding

4. When is contact initiated and what happens then?

5. Is there a chat area or board?

6. Is everyone having the same experience, or does it differ for men and women?

7. How much out-of-bandwidth communication is there?
